Innovating Filtration
Est. 1968
Our Story
Founded by Robert "Bob" Underwood in 1968, our parent company Micro-Mesh Engineering has been designing, manufacturing, and innovating in filtration for more than half a century.
Bob began his career at The de Havilland Aircraft Company, which later became BAE Systems. He made significant contributions to aircraft design, most notably the de Havilland Sea Vixen, where he broke the sound barrier alongside John "Cats Eyes" Cunningham.
In 1968, following his work at de Havilland, Bob founded Micro-Mesh Engineering in Nottinghamshire with three co-founders, utilizing the skills and expertise he gained in the aerospace industry to supply the highest quality filtration technology.
Today, Micro-Mesh is a proud third-generation family business. Through our FilterFinder division, we supply a combined 150,000+ filters annually to more than 220 countries worldwide. Our commitment to quality and our rich 50-year heritage keep us at the forefront of the filtration industry, ensuring we remain on the cutting edge of innovation.
